In many places, not enough height is available in T3 and T4. We suggest allowing four stories (or at least three) in T4, and three stories in T3, especially if T4 allows four stories.

At minimum, T4 should allow three stories everywhere, which would make six-plexes viable. As such, this should allow additional units as appropriate on the extra floors

The Problem

More height would allow more homes and more indoor space for the same amount of impervious cover or land space. Allowing upward growth is an important component of using our limited land space efficiently and managing growth responsibly.
